A VPN (Virtual Private Network) is a digital connection between your computer and another computer owned by the company managing the VPN, that protects your personal information by hiding your location. This means your activity online is more private and secure, and due to the computer being in another country, you will be able to access information from the countries that the computers are in.
Proton VPN is a free VPN (though you can pay for better services) where you can spoof your location to another (your device will act as if it is in that location rather than the one you are currently in)
It is available for both desktop and smartphones
It allows you to access information outside your country’s, like shows exclusive to America’s Netflix
While using Proton VPN, it is harder for hackers to access your information while on public internet.
However, this requires setting a proxy (connection) to the country you are spoofing to, and will use your data/wifi connection to do this.
Furthermore, it will require money to choose where you are set to, but it does allow you to connect to a randomly chosen one, and you can reset the connection until you get the one you want (Though there is an amount of time in between resets where you can’t reset it)
Proton VPN does require an account in order to monitor the users, but no information is collected from your activities.
